Hello! This is a two for one! Info about the upcoming cafe sessions and about the new class that everyone’s talking about… life drawing.

Our cafe sessions have now been set for the next few months. So, we’d love to see you on any of these days. Lots of fun, even more food and a very friendly welcome will all be available, along with the opportunity to join the Mug Club. All sessions are 9-11.30am.

Quick on the Draw!

Why not join the latest meet-up group – life drawing is great, educational, relaxing and it’s here!

The very first life drawing session at Dean Court CC took place with a small group of enthusiastic sketchers on Monday 8th September. The friendly banter as the group introduced themselves soon turned into serious concentration when the artists got to work on a series of quick sketches, with their model adopting a number of dramatic “gesture” poses. 2 minutes to capture the pose…. then move on to the next one…!

After a sequence of slightly longer 10 minute poses, the group broke for a chat over coffee, tea and biscuits. Getting to know each other better and an exchange of compliments about the sketches… then back to the drawing board and two final 25 minute poses.

The evening flew past and everybody present said how much they are looking forward to the next session….. which by the way is on Monday 20th October at 19.00hrs. Check notice board and calendar for details.
