Fred seems to be doing awfully well for a guy who has only been a carpenter for a little over a week!  By the end of the day the roof joists will be covering the children’s room, the kitchen, the office and the front porch.

The front of the refurbished building will be missing the lump of the old beer cellar, which rather spoiled the appearance of the original Alvar Aalto design.
